Languish / 2011

Originally developed in a game jam, Languish is an arcade-style flight sim with a philosophical bent—featuring words and ideas instead of ships and planes.

Languish 1

The player pilots a “tripleship” that can collect phrases it collides with.

Languish 2

Collecting three phrases results in a complete idea, which can be launched at opposing ideas to weaken them.

Ideas can also be fired at sympathetic concepts to strengthen them.

By collapsing their ship into a ball of letters, the player can protect it against enemy ideas.
