Described by GameSpot as “without a doubt one of the most original computer games ever created,” The Dark Eye is a graphic adventure through the world of Edgar Allan Poe, featuring stop-motion puppets animated by Doug Beswick, voice-over narration by William S. Burroughs, and music by Thomas Dolby and Blake Leyh. The title features unique and subtle cursor movements like “caress” and many customized interactions, realized through over 400 frames of animation (assembled from images of my own hand in a rubber appliance).
